Team OverviewWe are looking for a SR Product Engineer – Energy Cables.Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, reporting to the RD Brazil Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out the activities of analysis, planning, research, studies, preparation, and development of products, from their conception and design to new products or improvement of existing ones, based on customer needs. This includes preparing estimates of costs and deadlines, conducting various tests based on international guidelines, techniques, and technologies preestablished by the Matrix, aiming to provide the company with competitive products in costs, quality, safety, health, and the environment.Role and Responsibilities:Plan, study, research, and develop products.Define, with customers, information to carry out the development of new products.Conduct technical and technological prospecting, identifying needs for improvements of products.Conduct evaluations of projects and products, issue reports and technical opinions.Develop products, elaborating designs, specifications, prototypes, materials, and processes.Monitor the construction, tests, and analysis of results.Ensure that product development is within the technical standards.Lead research projects and feasibility analyses of products.Participate in activities of qualification, certification, and homologation of products.Develop projects of modifications of products.Search and implement cost-effective and saving opportunities in all possible products.Provide technical support to the factory in industrialization phases.Provide technical support to Marketing (technical brochures, catalogues...) and commercial (visits to regional strategic customers).Who are we looking for?We are looking for a person with the following skills:Bachelor's in engineering (Electrical preferred).Advanced English, written and spoken (Spanish will be a differential).Advanced Excel (macros and VBA will be a differential).Proven experience with R&D/manufacturing/quality.Knowledge and familiarity with Microsoft Project and AutoCAD.Prysmian, as an Equal Opportunity Employer, aims to attract and recruit individuals with diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities.
