Role Overview
iiPay are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Product Manager to join our dynamic and innovative product development team.
Our focus is developing a platform to facilitate internal efficiencies within iiPay, through process automation and the systemisation of payroll and client management tasks, and the creation of a product that provides our clients with streamlined processes, access to their global payroll data, and a great experience for their payroll teams and the employees that we pay.
Key objectives of the role
- Lead a team of business analysts to collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Product Development, Sales and Marketing, and our client-facing support teams in Payroll Operations and Implementation) to define product requirements, scope, and drive the product roadmap based on global payroll market experience, market research, data analysis, and feedback from our external customers and internal stakeholders.
- Drive iiPay's product roadmap to position iiPay as the leader within the global payroll industry, with a platform facilitating internal process efficiencies for the iiPay team, and greater ROI for our customers choosing iiPay to manage their global payrolls.
- Breaking down and sequencing implementation of complex platform solutions into discrete milestones to demonstrate rapid value creation.
- Bring an insatiable curiosity to understand the needs of customers both internal and external by leveraging quantitative and qualitative data.
- Communicate upward and outward about the bigger picture, trade-offs, and delivery timelines.
- Develop detailed product documentation, including release notes, product/feature one-pagers, and roadmaps for a variety of different audiences.
- Conduct competitive analysis to identify trends in the industry and opportunities for innovation that align with business objectives.
- Manage the product backlog, prioritizing features based on strategic importance, technical feasibility, and return on investment (ROI).
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure timely delivery of milestones and deliverables while adhering to budgetary constraints.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product health and user satisfaction, making data-driven decisions to improve the product's usability and overall experience.
- Communicate with customers and users through regular feedback sessions, addressing concerns and gathering insights that inform future iterations of the product.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to develop effective strategies for new product feature launches.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of the competitive landscape, identifying opportunities for differentiation through unique product features or enhancements.
- Confidence to participate in very technical discussions and to push back on engineering and others when appropriate; the ability to drive consensus and commit even when all parties don't agree
What are we looking for in you?
- 4+ years of experience as a Product Manager or similar role within the software industry.
- 2+ years of experience working as a Product Manager or similar role within the global payroll industry.
- Proven track record of successfully managing products through their entire life cycle.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and project management best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex ideas in an accessible manner.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., development, analysis, sales & marketing) to drive product development initiatives forward.
