The position is in Solenis as one of the market leads in cleaners, biocidal products, water solutions, paper manufacturing chemistry and pool solutions, including drinking water, food packaging and food processing.
The position is a remote global role and will be part of a world-class global regulatory compliance group contributing to the success of Solenis across all regions.
The position is responsible for providing scientifically sound assessments to be compliant with a variety of food applications worldwide for the whole Solenis product portfolio and to gain and keep sustainability certificates.
This includes direct communications with certifying bodies and global regulatory agencies such as FDA, BfR, and others.
The role is horizontal across all product lines.
Responsibilities:
Organize, drive, and maintain independently "Green" certificate approvals like Ecologo, Green Seal.
Take over communication with certifying bodies.
Conduct food application approvals in the area of cleaners and biocides.
Work together with the sustainability department in Solenis in elaborating strategies.
Organize NSF approval across all product lines in Solenis, also in collaboration with suppliers.
Qualifications:
Minimum Bachelor degree in chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacology, chemical engineering, food chemistry, or similar.
Knowledge in chemistry-related regulatory areas is a plus.
Application of safety assessment models (migration, human exposure).
1-2 years of relevant experience within the chemical or related industry is a plus.
Good analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
Self-starter with the ability to think and act independently and to make sound recommendations and decisions.
Team player.
Fast learner with a flexible style.
Highly accountable: solution-, results-, and action-oriented.
Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of product regulations, enforcement, and industry practice relevant to the chemical industry are an asset.
