About you and this job
Dow has a great opportunity as Production Leader based in Aratu (BRA). As Production Leader you have overall responsibility and accountability for plant assets, personnel and achievement of plant related business goals. Provides technical and administrative leadership to an empowered, work process driven, plant organization ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations of the manufacturing facility to deliver results. Leads one or more teams of professional individual contributors which may also include technical operations, business operations, or operational support employees. May also lead other supervisors. Sets priorities and allocates resources to align with business objectives and plans of execution. As a leader, fosters a work environment with a high level of integrity and strong customer and safety focus that embraces inclusion and diversity, innovation and sustainability, continuous improvement, and empowerment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Serves as the leader of a production plant accountable for plant results and for the implementation of and adherence to all relevant work processes in the areas of: environmental, health and safety; asset capability and asset utilization; and production cost and product quality.- Supports employee growth and development through routine coaching and feedback, and development discussions.- Represents the plant in business strategy development and goal setting processes. Communicates business and plant strategies and goals to plant employees.- Ensures compliance with all federal, local and company environmental, health and safety regulations impacting plant operations.- Supports Dow's license to operate by developing and maintaining strong relationships and open communications with community, state/provincial and federal political and regulatory leaders.- Develops and maintains staffing plan to support achievement of business results.- Supports site leadership and other internal and external initiatives.- Directs the implementation and continuous improvement of all safety requirements, programs, standards, and practices.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree plus engineering, manufacturing or related experience required.- Demonstrated leadership abilities.- Fluent English in verbal and written communications.- Project and change management experience.- Budget management experience.- Strong collaboration Teamwork skills.- Organizational leadership.- Demonstrated successful experience in Environment, Health, and Safety performance.- Ethics and integrity.
