Production Support Engineer – First Line Support

Provide technical support for all IT usage issues / helpdesk queries - quickly and efficiently.

Alignment to business driver/strategy
Supporting all business users with IT technical issues/ difficulties/ requests.
Key Responsibilities: Telephone and PC / IT desktop support, for a range of IT applications and services within SAHL.
Professionally communicate with end users and managers.Diagnose and resolve technology issues successfully - via the IT Service Desk.Install and maintain new hardware and software.Service Desk: Adhere to the KANBAN process.Take responsibility and ownership of support requests through the IT service desk.Ensure that Service Level Agreements are met.Provide timely feedback, escalations & resolutions.Department Moves/Restructuring: Assist facilities with department/office moves and relocation of IT equipment.Education: Matric, Relevant IT Technical Certifications.
Preferred Experience: 2 years' experience in a Desktop support role.Team player.Good communication skills.Tolerance for routine.Zero tolerance for error.Accountability and ownership.Ability to work under pressure.Innovative – seeking better ways to do things.Responsible - Able to work with minimal supervision.Able to work 7am - 4pm and 8am- 5pm.Methodical troubleshooting.Adherence to processes.Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications.Knowledge of:Terminal Servers.Backup software.Scripting.Cloud services/ Internet application troubleshooting.DNS, DHCP.Active Directory (AD), E-mail (MS Exchange server & client).Network: LAN/WAN concepts and simple network configuration.Voice systems & Multi-function Printer Systems.Anti-virus/ Anti-malware.Audio/Visual systems and conferencing systems.Documenting processes and knowledge sharing.Make your next career move with a specialist team.
