For the past years, UN-Habitat has expanded its portfolio in Brazil by working with the three tiers of government to support the formulation and implementation of more effective, sustainable, participative and socially fairer urban economic, social and environmental policies.In order to expand the programme and seek support to work with the challenges of reducing urban poverty and integrating all segments of the population into the fabric of the city, UN-Habitat is a partner of Instituto Pereira Passos (IPP) of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro (PCRJ) in the implementation of the Social Territories Programme. This programme aims to identify the most vulnerable urban population of the city of Rio de Janeiro, understand their living conditions, and promote specialized support to integrate them into public registries, the network of basic services, and the municipal urban fabric.In order to continue with the implementation of the Social Territories Programme, UN-Habitat office in Rio de Janeiro is looking for a Programme Analyst.Responsibilities:Coordinate the work with the Municipal Secretariats involved in the implementation of the Programme.Supervise the fieldwork and monitoring.Supervise the implementation of the integrated protocol of the Programme.Support the monitoring of the Programme.Support the dissemination of the Programme in the communities.Support the organization of local events.Organize and participate in local and management meetings requested by the Programme Coordinators.Maintain an organized and accessible information file.Ensure that technical activities align with the quality expectations of the Agency and the counterparts.Document expert group meetings, forums, consultations, training events, and other activities.Prepare reports to partners and internal reports at various stages of the projects.Perform other duties as requested by the supervisors.Qualifications/Special Skills:Academic Qualifications: Required: Bachelor's degree in Law, Social Services, Logistics, Economics, Geography, Urban Studies, Communication/Journalism, Biological Sciences, International Relations, or related field, or additional three (3) years of relevant experience.Experience:Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in project management, preferably in public projects and in communities in Rio de Janeiro.Experience in the social area and in coordinating fieldwork, preferably in public service and poorer areas.Organized person with a leadership profile and ability to articulate teams.Previous experience working in the United Nations is an added advantage.Languages:Fluency in Portuguese is required.Knowledge of any other working language of the United Nations is considered an added advantage.Additional Information:The consultant must be available to travel to the locations related to the activities in the country, if requested. Travels will be coordinated and financed by UN-Habitat, according to the United Nations travel rules and guidelines.Remuneration: BRL 7.268,63 (net amount).
