The Programme Coordinator supports the Brazil Representative in the execution of the strategic plan in the country, working with partners specifically in four areas to support early childhood development (ECD):Advocacy, strengthening the ECD ecosystem in BrazilEarly childcare and education, increasing the quality and equity in the educational systemCaregiver wellbeingUrban95, implementing strategies aimed at adapting the urban environment of the city to the needs of young children and their caregiversPRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKSContributes to the design, monitoring and evaluation of country partnerships and programmes in coordination with the Brazil RepresentativeManages key partners and programmes, proactively monitors the progress of projects in the countryCoaches and supports partners and alliesParticipates in key meetings with external stakeholders and assists with timely follow upAssists in capturing and sharing knowledge on the Brazil programmes within the Foundation and externallyWorks with the Brazil Representative to identify opportunities for investmentSupports the proposal, work plan, budget assessment and the administrative approval process for new investmentsDocuments and reports programme progress, including writing quarterly progress reports, proposals, workplans, and political updatesResolves issues by initiating appropriate management interventions or extra activities when gaps in the programme are identifiedCoordinates communications needs of the Foundation in Brazil, including online and offline content development, power point presentations, localisation and translationAdapts global content to the local contextProvides logistic support in country when neededPROFESSIONAL CONTACTSInside the Foundation: Brazil team, programme team, communications teamOutside the Foundation: Strategic institutional or individual contacts, partners, allies and stakeholdersQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESKnowledge on early childhood development or ability to acquire a basic level of knowledge quicklyMaster's degree in health sciences, urban development, social sciences, or related field; or complete graduate studies in an Iberic America University (equivalent to Bachelor plus Masters)Track record in programme management (5-7 years) in health sciences, urban planning, social sciences, international development, public policy, or related fieldHave been living in Brazil for at least 3 years with good knowledge of policy environment and government structuresWorking knowledge of basic budget and accounting proceduresExperience in organising eventsProven ability to work with different stakeholdersAbility to meet deadlinesFluent in English and Portuguese; Spanish is an advantageThe candidate should be willing to travel frequentlyGood knowledge of PC-based word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applicationsOrganisational-wide competencies: Teamwork, learning ability, results-orientedJob-specific competencies: Networking, planning and organising, written communication, entrepreneurshipHOW TO APPLYIf you are interested in this position, please send your CV and cover letter in English before 10 March 23:59 GMT to ****** any questions, please contact Agnes Buis at ******#J-18808-Ljbffr
