We are currently looking to hire a Project Construction Director for one of our clients who are a leading specialized heavy industrial services business in the US. They are one of the leading businesses in their space, have multiple locations throughout the US and have been in business for over 80 years. This role works exclusively with the Department of Defense so you will need DOD experience.
The Project Construction Director role is focused primarily on overseeing all project specific cashflow, job margin, labor force management, indirect costs, and overall supervision of Project Management staff and responsibilities. This is a pivotal role within the business and as such will offer you a great opportunity for rapid career progression.
Below is a list of the key responsibilities for the role, whilst not exhaustive, that you'll need to be able to perform:
Mastery of the department's Job Margin and Gross Profit performance.Ownership of the department's Annual Budget and Forecast in cooperation with the General Manager.Hold Weekly Job/Project progress status meetings with estimating and project management teams focused on job margin, existing and emerging issue resolution.Manage and coordinate department HR issues with upper management and Corporate HR.Consult with the Manager's on Opportunity Analysis (Cost/Benefit, Risk/Reward) and high-risk business cases.Engaged participation in leadership training courses.Promote and maintain a supportive, respectful, professional, harassment free work environment for all department labor and staff employees.To be successful in the role you'll need a college degree in Business, Organizational Management, Construction Management, Engineering Management, or a related field required. You must have 15+ years of construction experience, 5+ years of direct leadership experience and experience in full P&L management.
