As Designer of End Fitting Research & Development (ERD), FLEXIBLES, Brazil, you will support R&D Projects with eventual other designers and engineers assigned for the task.
Designer is overall responsible for all design of end fittings, ancillary's components, and test rigs on basis of scope of work and NOV design rules/tools and from that create the General Arrangement drawings to the client and the technical drawings for the production of components.
And to round it all off, you also contribute to the continuous improvement and new solutions for our End-Fittings.
As part of our End Fitting Research and Development department, you take part in a range of tasks, where you can leverage your skills as designer to succeed.
These tasks include new and innovative solutions, design of components, verification, and documentation of R&D projects.
Responsibility is to support engineers to reach new End-fitting solutions and qualification, design, and drawings for the components.
Key responsibilities:
Create and check General Arrangement Drawings.
Create and check Technical Drawings.
Create and check relates documentation for Mounting Department.
Create spreadsheets in excel.
Create calculation files in Python.
Work with focus on sub supplier and production satisfaction.
To constantly strive to deliver to the expected spec, cost, and time.
Know the value stream for projects in NOV.
Deliver on time.
Demonstrates a proactive attitude and contributes to and promotes improvements.
Continuously seek to improve competitiveness and cost awareness using appropriate tools LEAN/Kaizen.
Actively work with personal- and team goals to support department goals.
Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager.
Experience required:
Technical Formation in Mechanics, Industrial Maintenance, or related areas.
At least 2 years of designer experience in the Oil and Gas or other energy industry.
Skilled user in 2D and 3D modeling.
Experience in development and qualification projects is desirable.
Skilled user of CREO 2D and 3D modeling is desirable.
