**The Role**
Seequent is a world leader in the development of data visualization software.
Our solutions (including Oasis montaj, Target, Leapfrog, Central, Edge and Geostudio) enable people to create rich stories and uncover valuable insights from geological data, and ultimately make better decisions about their earth, environment and energy challenges.
We are currently seeking a technical expert with strong business acumen to support the company's significant growth strategy.
This role is about continuing Seequent's face-to-face customer service program by providing the highest level of attention to customers at all stages of their interaction with our products from evaluation at the pre-purchase stage, to setting up new customers, and assisting experienced users who require technical support.
A substantial part of this process is building stronger relationships based on listening to and understanding our customers' needs and implementing solutions.
Being a team player, social, hands-on, task oriented and customer focused, this role is responsible for providing both technical and sales deliverables, deep product knowledge, quick response times, careful analysis and problem solving.
You have the opportunity to make a real impact by being able to contact our customers and provide demonstrations, effective training and knowledge-based community building events.
Although regularly situated in Santiago, Chile or Lima, Perú, you will still be a part of the global Technical Services team, who is responsible for ensuring that we cover Latin America's wide geographical spread and time zones.
**In this role, you will have the opportunity to**:

- In combination with the EVP and commercial managers, develop growth revenue targets in the form of license sales, support and training and project revenue.
- Be a team player, by working as a cohesive team member and with the team identify and create opportunities by contacting our users and potential users (leads).
- Organise and host user forums to discuss what's going on in the market and the current challenges, as well as gather market intelligence.
- Prior to a sale, help seal the deal by creating and setting up demos, webinars and suppling product information to prospective customers who may be testing our software
- Be a 'CRM' champion by ensuring the accurate maintenance of the database and 'Closing the Gaps' process, which provides Product Management with vital market information relating to new product/feature development.
**In order to be successful in this role, you should have**:

- University Degree in either Geoscience or Geology
- Minimum 5 years' experience in geoscience area, environmental and civil industry, geotechnical industry or mining industry.
Sales and customer focused support experience is a definite benefit
- Experience with geoscience industry software modelling solutions, ideally including Seequent's software solutions
- Sound business acumen and well-developed assessment, judgment, and critical thinking abilities
- Innovative, open, and able to work in a fast growing, fast paced and constantly changing environment
- The ability to communicate in Portuguese and English fluently.
Knowledge of Spanish is an added advantage
