About the Role:

- This leadership position includes responsibility for leading a Property, Engineering, Liability, Finpro and Surety claims team consisting of Claims Specialists and Claims Analysts in Brazil;
- Ensure legal and regulatory compliance with local laws and regulations, particularly in regard to proper and timely data reporting claims for the Line of Business above;
- Successfully lead, manage, develop and coach team members.
- Assist team members in developing claim handling and customer service skills and desired behaviors and in delivering high quality claim handling and customer service
- Ensure that the team understands and follows Corporate Solutions Claim Commitment, Claim Handling Expectations and SoPs
- Maintain diary on team claims and proactively review claim progress to ensure appropriate claim handling and to provide appropriate and timely management, coaching and assistance to claim handlers
- Ensure timely and appropriate claim file reserves consistent with CorSo Claims' reserve timeliness expectations
- Conduct regular Quality Assurance File Reviews and use results to assist with claim handler development and performance management
- Proactive dormant and off-diary claim management
- Assist team members to identify, properly evaluate and handle subrogation and claim recovery, where applicable - Supervision service delivery by the team, supporting that daily working level issues are being resolved timely;
- Drive Operational Excellence and utilize data analytics to enable continuous improvement within the team.
Provide guidance and coaching to team members in their development of future skillsets.
- Provide leadership and key input for projects within the Claims Management team in Brazil.
Have a strong understanding of ongoing projects and their impact to the future structure and skillsets.
- Management of key internal and external stakeholder and customer relationships, including key brokers, loss adjusters and service providers.

- Assist team members to understand and identify claim fraud indicators and work with CorSo Claims SIU unit, as needed, to report and combat potential fraudulent claims
- Promote the identification and sharing of actionable claims insights and lessons learned via Underwriting Alerts and other means and encourage the sharing of claims trends and emerging risks with internal Stakeholders
- Ensure the team is assisting Underwriting and others with contractual wording and risk assessments - Keep Claim Management and Internal Stakeholders aware of loss potential and material claim developments, consistent with Claim Handling Expectations and SoP's
- Support growth initiatives
- Deliver on team targets including costs

About You:

- Have solid experience in Property, Engineering, Liability insurance claims of at least 10 years, with Property and Liability claims preferred.
- Prior leadership experience in people management and change management would be a must.
- Proven track record of setting, achieving, and exceeding goals; evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, experience and judgment.
- Strategic vision and agility - ability to think strategically, anticipate future consequences and trends and incorporate them into the organizational plan.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast paced, dynamic matrix environment including the ability to navigate and lead the team through periods of ambiguity, support mutual dependencies.
- Proven track record of building productive and collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders on peer and senior management level.
- Excellent analytical and problem solve skills, including the ability to analyze workflow reports and experience with root/cause analysis a plus.
- Strong continuous improvement skills, ability to capture and formulate complex issues as well as develop business cases balancing pros and cons.
- Strong technology focus including familiarity with varied system approaches including full and partial automation and related workflows as well as strong computer skills with competency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Collaborative; you will be working with teams in Brazil, as well as across region in Latam or even globally.
