**The Position**
The Public Affairs & Innovation Policy Manager will hold key responsibilities on planning, managing, and implementing affiliate-wide Public Affairs (PA) strategies and tactics, with a strong focus on advocacy efforts to improve the innovation ecosystem and Intellectual Property (IP) framework in the country. Based in Brasília-DF, this professional will be responsible to shape and promote policy priorities in the realms of innovation and the healthcare universe, assuring regular stakeholder mapping process of public and private policy makers, and other key entities and policy influencers; building trustworthy networks and partnerships, engaging with relevant authorities and policy stakeholders in a compliant, transparent and ethical manner; aligning the PA strategy with local and global business priorities, mobilizing cross-functionally with internal areas and a variety of societal stakeholders and potential partners; thoroughly monitoring, shaping and responding to local and external policies and regulations to support relevant business interests, while enhancing and protecting the reputation of the company.
Your responsabilities includes:
- Strategic Engagement: Develop and execute public affairs and advocacy strategies to influence policies, forging relationships with government officials, public authorities, embassy, trade associations and key influencers in Brasília-DF. Ensure cross-functional and cross-company alignment with Headquarters (Denmark), International Operations/Regional Office (IO-RO LATAM), Manufacturing Plant (Montes Claros, MG), affiliate's Corporate Affairs & Sustainability teams and critical functional areas (Legal & Compliance, Clinical-Medical-Regulatory-Quality Affairs, Market Access and Business Development) on relevant projects and to share relevant public affairs insights and initiatives.
- Policy Shaping: Collaborate with stakeholders to shape the legislative and regulatory environment, focusing on innovation policies, intellectual property frameworks, and other relevant issues aligned with corporate goals.
- Monitoring and Analysis: Keep a vigilant eye on policy, political, and regulatory developments, offering timely analysis and recommendations while representing the company in industry associations and committees.
- Partnerships and Reputation: Foster partnerships with key entities, enhance and protect the company's reputation, ensuring alignment across functions and with global headquarters.
- Project Management: Oversee project development and outcomes, maintaining a database of actionable information, and managing external consultants and vendors when necessary.
**Qualifications**
- You hold a Bachelor's degree in public policy, political/social sciences, international relations, law, economics, (or related fields).
- This person is expected to have fluent oral and written English.
- Nice to have a Master's degree and experience in Project Management.
- It's desirable that this professional has excellent knowledge of public policy, legislative and regulatory processes, as well as a deep understanding of the political and institutional landscape in Brasília-DF.
