The outcome is to implement differentiated policies and programs that improve the capacities of the national government, local and family farmers in areas such as ATER (rural extension and technical advisory services), Credit Programs, land access and governance, access to markets and the strengthening of cooperativism.Reporting LinesThe incumbent reports to the Assistant Representative in FAO Brazil – Programme.Technical FocusTo provide technical subsidies to the General Coordination of Training, Knowledge Construction and Promotion of Technical Assistance and Rural Extension to improve the executive management and monitoring of Action 21B6 – Technical Assistance and Rural Extension from the perspective of the execution of the Budget Plans.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesSupport the project in meetings with managers and technicians from the Secretariat of Family Agriculture and Agroecology;Research data and produce information about the budget execution of technical assistance and rural extension initiatives;Analyze and systematize the actions of Dater/SAF-MDA for the management of information and knowledge;Carry out a survey and systematization of the results of the initiatives operated by DATER;Present proposals for evidence management instruments, exchange of Ater experiences;Propose content for informative material aimed at promoting knowledge and exchange of ATER initiatives;Propose an action plan for the promotion of knowledge as a means of improving Ater processes;Carry out technical visits to the different areas of intervention of the project;Support the project in dialogue with partner entities and social movements;Support in monitoring the actions developed on the subject of consulting with the agencies involved;Assist the project in meetings, workshops and seminars held by the Department, MDA, Anater and partner entities.CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING:University Degree in Applied Social Sciences.Minimum experience of 08 years in public policies of Family Farming and Public Budget; specialization reduces this to 06 years, a Master's degree to 05 years, and a Doctorate to 03 years.Working knowledge (level C) of English or Spanish and Portuguese.National of Brazil or resident of the country with valid work permit.FAO Core CompetenciesTechnical/Functional SkillsDesirable experience with process analysis and execution of public policies aimed at sustainable rural development and/or Technical Assistance and Rural Extension.ADDITIONAL INFORMATIONFAO does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process.Incomplete applications will not be considered.Applications received after the closing date will not be accepted.Only language proficiency certificates from UN accredited external providers will be accepted.Appointment will be subject to certification that the candidate is medically fit for appointment.HOW TO APPLYTo apply, visit the recruitment website at Jobs at FAO and complete your online profile.Attach a letter of motivation to the online profile.Once your profile is completed, submit your application.Provide performance assessments and authorization to conduct verification checks.Only applications received through the FAO recruitment portal will be considered.
