Mission
We are looking for a Procurement and Compliance Engineer to join our Procurement team. In this role, you will ensure that our electronic components and products comply with international regulations such as REACH, RoHS, Prop65, Conflict Minerals, PFAS, etc. and you support our Product & Technology teams with selecting new or alternative components. You will work closely with suppliers, the legal department, and various internal teams to collect, analyze, and maintain compliance and lifecycle data, while proactively addressing potential changes. You answer our customer's questions around product compliance.

Roles & Responsibilities
Regulatory Compliance: Manage and ensure compliance with global environmental and safety standards, including REACH, RoHS, Prop65, and Conflict Minerals. Support product development projects to meet compliance requirements for target markets.
Component Selection: Support the Product & Technology teams with selecting the right components for new products or product maintenance and component replacements. Find components according to our requirements and create proposals and component comparison tables.
Supplier Collaboration: Collaborate with suppliers to gather compliance-related data, conduct due diligence, and address any non-compliance issues. Work with suppliers to find and select the right components and keep component roadmap and lifecycle data records up to date.
Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of compliance and lifecycle data and create reports for internal stakeholders and answer compliance questions of our customers. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and audit-ready.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Procurement, Product & Technology, and Legal teams to implement compliance strategies and mitigate risks.
Compliance Program Management: Develop and execute internal compliance programs, including employee training and process updates. Participate in continuous improvement projects to streamline compliance processes.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education: Bachelor's degree ideally in Electronic Engineering or other related fields.
Experience: Minimum 2 years in compliance management and selection of electronic products, with expertise in REACH, RoHS, and other related regulations.
Skills: Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret complex regulations and technical requirements, and excellent communication abilities to work with suppliers and cross-functional teams.
Knowledge: Proficiency in regulatory requirements for electronics and experience with compliance data management tools. Knowledge about electronic components and electronic design.
Language: English B2 or higher.
Soft Skills: Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with product safety regulations, labeling standards, and international trade compliance.
Experience leading compliance audits and developing compliance policies for a global company.
