As Product Experience (PX) Researchers, we represent the voice of the consumer within IFF and help to drive regional sales by implementing research designs and effectively managing resources to ensure we create optimal products people love.
IFF PX Brazil Flavors is looking for a Product Experience Manager for the site in São Paulo, Brazil. Are you passionate about sensory and consumer insights and how they can impact product design, development, and formulation of great products consumers truly want?
As Product Experience Manager, you will proactively identify current gaps and opportunities in PX capabilities and insights based on competitive analysis, IFF commercial strategy and key customer needs. You will be responsible for the proposal, definition, and execution of these insights in alignment with business opportunities and corporate strategies. You will partner closely with the creation and design team to generate sensory and consumer insights that are directly relevant for the product design and formulation. You will also partner with commercial and marketing teams to ensure impactful customer engagement reactively and proactively. You will be the voice of the consumer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively identify current gaps and opportunities in PX capabilities and insights in Brazil of responsibility, based on competitive analysis, IFF commercial strategy and key customer needs. Propose ideas and contribute to the definition of action plans to address them.
- Manage PX Brazil team including talent management, in alignment with PX Regional Director. Ensure effective communication cascading, training and coaching of the team.
- Drive the pilots of new PX capabilities in Brazil.
- Harvest, funnel and disseminate knowledge and insights from both internal and external sources across functions and regions, beyond Brazil of responsibility.
- Ambassador of internal and external recognition of IFF expertise in sensory, consumer and cognitive science
- Work in close collaboration with Sales partners and Category Marketing to identify how PX can impact business performance
- Influence the generation of high business impact projects in Brazil in terms of responsibility
- Drive/execute personally sensory, consumer or cognitive science research, ensuring the generation of actionable and valuable insights guiding product design, formulation and development in close collaboration with IC&D partners.
- Communicate and present in an impactful way the approach and/or insights at various stages to stakeholders project team, customers, leadership.
Requirements:
Required Experience:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in qualitative and quantitative consumer research, preferably within food and beverage manufacturing.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in people management experience.
- Degree in sensory science, psychology, chemistry, neuroscience, food science, behavioral science or related area
**Required Skills**:
- High level of expertise in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, and related data analysis; being at ease with statistical programs such as R, SPSS, JMP, Xlstat
- Strategic thinking, learning agility and drive for results, creativity, problem solving and strong business acumen.
- Strong people skills and an effective team player and coaching skills
- Influencing and networking skills
- Ability to craft a compelling story driven by data to deliver insights.
- Demonstrating inclusive leadership within cross-functional teams
- Able to work autonomously with mínimal supervision by manager.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English
