Job Overview:
The Quality Assurance Analyst will support LATAM quality operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality requirements. This role involves direct communication with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies, managing documentation, conducting quality audits, addressing non-conformities, and supporting business units. The Analyst will also support customer and internal quality needs, promote continuous improvement, and uphold the company's Quality Management System.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Support and Documentation Management- Provide technical assistance to LATAM requirements and address customer inquiries related to quality, including product specifications, external certifications, and regulatory declarations (ISO, BASC, COAs).- Complete quality forms for new products and manage recertifications or shelf-life extensions upon request.- Support documentation processes within the Quality Management System, including control, review, and issuance of relevant procedures.
Supplier and Product Qualification- Oversee the qualification process for local suppliers and collaborate with global team, including documentation verification and specification comparison for LATAM.- Facilitate supplier audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.- Coordinate the quality verification of products manufactured by third parties, issuing associated quality certificates and specifications.
Regulatory Compliance- Obtain and maintain necessary registrations and permits from Brazilian health organizations (e.g., Anvisa, CRF, CRQ) to ensure business continuity.- Provide regulatory support related to Civil and Federal Police of Brazil as well as customs classifications for imported products.- Issue product declarations and equivalence statements to customers, ensuring compliance with local and regional regulations.
Customer and Internal Quality Assurance- Investigate complaints, non-conformities, and quality issues related to products and representatives.- Coordinate the quality analysis of customer and internal samples to verify compliance with established quality standards.- Provide technical input for repackaging requests and manage quality agreements with LATAM customers.
Audits and Continuous Improvement- Execute and manage schedules for internal and external audits, including those from certifying bodies, customers, and suppliers.- Support non-conformity closure processes, fostering continuous improvement within the LATAM quality assurance framework.- Engage in updating procedures and implementing best practices within Brazil, including food-grade product compliance and warehouse adaptations.
Training and Quality Communication- Coordinate and deliver training programs on quality issues to LATAM team members.- Communicate with suppliers and warehouses to address and implement quality-related processes and policies.
Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance- Support safety, environmental, and social responsibility initiatives, maintaining alignment with regulatory and company standards.- Ensure product integrity declarations are issued when packaging is compromised during transportation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in chemistry, Quality Management, Regulatory Affairs, or a related field.- Minimum of 3 -5 years of experience in Quality Assurance or Regulatory Compliance, preferably in a manufacturing or chemical environment.- Strong knowledge of Brazilian regulatory standards (e.g., Anvisa) and international quality standards (ISO 9001). Knowledge of other LATAM countries regulation is a plus.- Proficiency in quality management systems and document control practices.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in supplier audits and risk management.- Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems for managing quality and customer information.- Proficiency in both Portuguese and English for regional communication.
