Quality Control Inspector

Company Overview: A US-based manufacturer of precision medical devices is seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to ensure final part quality and lot release onsite at a Brazil-based supplier.
Job Description: The Quality Control Inspector would contract directly with Medpoint and represent the interests of the US-based client onsite at the supplier facility.
The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for comprehensive quality assessment of mechanical and electromechanical components used in medical device manufacturing.
This critical role requires attention to detail and extensive experience in quality control processes.
This is a new client-supplier relationship.
The contract Quality Control Inspector role will begin at approximately 20-hours per week and increase in weekly hours as production volume grows.
Primary Responsibilities: - Conduct detailed visual inspections to identify and document product defects - Perform dimensional measurements referencing technical drawings and schematics - Execute electrical testing utilizing existing test fixtures - Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of inspection results - Conduct final part inspection and authorize lot release for shipment to US-based client - Ensure compliance with quality standards and manufacturing specifications - Collaborate with supplier manufacturing team and US-based client sourcing team to address quality-related issues Qualifications: - Minimum 10 years of experience in quality control laboratory for mechanical and/or electromechanical parts, components, or assemblies - Experience in the medical device industry is a plus - High school diploma required
