The Ready-Mix Loader Operator is responsible for operating equipment commonly found necessary for the proper maintenance of a ready-mix plant.
Equipment operated will include loader, water truck, man lift, forklift, etc.
Training will also cover back-up batch activities and plant maintenance.
The daily responsibilities may not be site-specific.

ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate safe and efficient operation of equipment while completing assigned tasks.Perform pre-operational/post-operational checks of equipment to ensure equipment can be operated safely.Operate a range of loaders including skip loader, front loader, man lift, and forklift.Perform work area examinations to ensure a safe work environment; any observed hazards must be noted, reported to the supervisor, and corrected if possible.Comply with company policies, procedures, and work rules, as well as federal safety, health, and environmental regulations.Perform plant maintenance activities as directed.Work may extend to include general labor duties such as shoveling and sweeping.Support other plant activities as directed.Weekend and night work will be required.EducationHigh school diploma or GED.
Requirements/QualificationsAbility to work under pressure.Work with minimal supervision.Ability to lift 50 lbs.
repeatedly and climb stairs and ladders up to 24 feet high.Must have reliable transportation for all work shifts.Trustworthy and excellent attendance record.Preferred: Any maintenance-related certifications.Conditions of EmploymentSuccessful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
Some positions require FMCSA regulated on-going drug and alcohol testing.
