This position exists to serve priesthood leaders by providing temples, headquarters, and other facilities for their use to help bring souls unto CHRIST.
The position is responsible for providing real estate-related professional services, maximizing the value and utility of owned/controlled Church real estate assets, and protecting Church real estate interests.
Customers include Church-related companies and departments.
Customers expect that professional services will be provided within industry-related and Church-established metrics that measure quality, cost, and timeliness.Responsibilities include the personal execution as well as leading Church and contract professionals to identify, evaluate, acquire, dispose, manage, negotiate, lease, close, and otherwise conduct activities related to Church real estate interests:Manage projects and lead professional services providers (corporate services and other disciplines and support processes; prepare/review binding legal documents).Provide technical real estate advice and be a resource for customers and priesthood leaders.Analyze, prepare, and deliver presentations for approvals.Project management report meetings/Administrative duties.Real Estate Manager (REM) will establish the limits of REPM 31 responsibility based on:Transaction type, scope, or complexity.High required negotiation expertise.Church department or entity/customer type (e.g., Missionary, Welfare, FRI, etc.
).High potential impact/risk.Reports to, and work reviewed by, REM; interface with peers in other departments or disciplines.
To provide opportunities for individual development, the REM may approve the temporary assignment of selected REM level responsibilities or tasks, as appropriate.
With REM approval, the REPM 1 may mentor or train an RES, REA, REPM 1, or 2.Bachelor's degree, or its equivalent experience, in Real Estate-related fields, Business, or Construction Management.Real estate-related Licensing/Certifications (e.g., broker, agent, property title, escrow, attorney, etc.
), or equivalent certification in a non-U.S. country.Eight (8) – ten (10) years of demonstrated expertise in real estate transactions, including site identification and analysis, negotiations, contracts, leases, site evaluations, appraisals, title reports, property closings, and applicable governmental requirements.Computer skills include advanced experience with Microsoft Office Suite.Required: Speak Portuguese and English.
Must have commercial real estate experience.Must live in Brazil.Preferred: Speak Spanish.#J-18808-Ljbffr
