About the Company : Our client is an innovative, fast-growing company in the renewable energy sector, specializing in solar tracking and racking systems. With a strong commitment to advancing clean energy solutions worldwide, the company is expanding its reach into the LATAM region. They are seeking a skilled and entrepreneurial Regional Director to establish and grow their LATAM operations, with full responsibility for regional business strategy, P&L management, and team building. Position Overview : The Regional Director, LATAM will lead the company's entry into the Latin American market, overseeing all aspects of the regional office based in either Argentina or Brazil . Reporting directly to the General Manager for International Markets, this role will be responsible for establishing a strong market presence, achieving aggressive growth targets, and managing the complete P&L for the LATAM region. This is a key role requiring a hands-on, entrepreneurial leader who can navigate a rapidly growing industry and build a solid foundation for the company's LATAM business. Key Responsibilities : Market Entry and Business Development : Develop and execute the LATAM market strategy, identifying business opportunities and building relationships with key clients and stakeholders in the renewable energy sector. P&L Responsibility : Take full ownership of the LATAM region's P&L, including budgeting, forecasting, and tracking financial performance to meet profitability targets. Team Building and Leadership : Build and lead a high-performing regional team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence. Strategic Partnerships : Cultivate strategic relationships with industry stakeholders, including local government entities and potential partners, to drive market growth and brand awareness in the LATAM region. Operations Management : Oversee all aspects of daily operations, including sales, project management, customer support, and compliance, ensuring alignment with global company standards and local market requirements. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all business practices comply with LATAM regulations, especially in renewable energy policies, labor laws, and industry standards. Reporting and Collaboration : Provide regular updates on performance, challenges, and opportunities to the General Manager for International Markets; collaborate with global teams to align strategies and share best practices. Qualifications : Experience : 10+ years in regional or general management within the renewable energy sector, with a strong preference for experience in solar energy, tracking, or racking systems. Proven Track Record : Demonstrated success in launching and scaling regional operations, achieving revenue targets, and managing P&L in a high-growth environment. Entrepreneurial Spirit : A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate independently and take ownership of the LATAM market expansion. Industry Knowledge : In-depth understanding of the renewable energy landscape in LATAM, including market trends, key industry players, and regulatory requirements. Languages : Fluency in both Spanish and English is required; Portuguese is a strong plus. Leadership and People Management : Strong track record in building and leading high-performing teams, with the ability to inspire and motivate in a new and growing market. Analytical and Strategic Thinking : Excellent analytical skills with the ability to develop and implement effective business strategies, assess market trends, and make data-driven decisions. Communication and Negotiation Skills : Exceptional communicator and negotiator, capable of representing the company at high-level industry events and meetings. Preferred Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus. Prior experience in a startup or high-growth environment within the renewable energy industry. An existing network within the LATAM renewable energy sector.
