Job Description Summary: Working as part of the global Regulatory Reporting and Governance team, the Regulatory Reporting Senior Analyst will support the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to Financial Regulators together with monitoring and forecasting of regulatory metrics.
**Job Description**:
- Complete periodic reporting submissions to Financial Regulators in the US, Brazil and Mexico including call reports and other State forms supporting money transmissions, financial statements, transaction level activity reports and reports related to credit or virtual currency licenses
- Monitor and forecast relevant regulatory metrics, primarily related to Capital and Liquidity of licensed entities.
- Implement and maintain reporting tools focusing on automated and efficient processes.
- Support integration of new acquisitions, new license obligations and new products by managing data requirements, process set up and enablement of reporting obligations.
- Provide effective quality assurance and appropriate internal controls over data inputs and reporting outputs.
- Perform reconciliations of output against financial accounts ensuring any differences are cleared in advance of regulatory report completion or are explained as appropriate.
- Draft detailed risk based operating procedures and checklists focusing heavily on internal controls throughout.
- Monitor the development of regulations in the US, Brazil and Mexico to ensure advance awareness and assessments are completed with preparatory tasks undertaken early to implement required changes on financial regulatory reports.
- Liaise with key stakeholders including Regulatory Reporting Leadership, Data Technology, Compliance, Legal, Controllership, Credit and Treasury teams in relation to reporting obligations, information requirements and new initiatives.
- Prepare and present periodic updates to Finance Leadership.
- Challenge, resolve, and communicate any issues to internal stakeholders.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as Auditors or Regulators ensuring all requests are addressed timely and accurately.
- Assist the global Regulatory Reporting and Governance team in any related initiatives outside of the US, Brazil and Mexico.
**Requirements**:
- Qualified accountant (or similar), preferably with a Big 4 background and professional experience in e-commerce/payments/financial services industries;
- BS, BA (or equivalent) preferred;
- High level of expertise in sourcing, interrogating and manipulating data in various forms/code from multiple systems/platforms;
- Keen analytical and problem-solving experience with a strong focus on quality assurance of output;
- Understanding of regulations affecting the Banking and Payments industries across the US and globally
- Familiarity with financial statements preparation using local and international accounting standards including US GAAP and IFRS;
- Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English mandatory; along with fluency in Spanish and/or Brazilian Portuguese.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and deliver in a fast paced and dynamic environment with a high degree of personal accountability, integrity and trust;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within cross functional and remote teams;
- Technical experience dealing with multiple data systems and reporting platforms.
SAP is an advantage;
