Overview
BNY Mellon's Risk Management team is responsible for ensuring the company's suitability for the operational risk management framework, conducting risk assessments, and disseminating policies and best practices related to operational risk management for the business in Brazil.
**Responsibilities**:
Provides oversight to the first line's identification, assessment, monitoring, risk exposure remediation and reporting of the business's risk exposure;
Oversees the first line's appropriate maintenance of RCSA and timely reporting of significant events including losses events and near misses;
Advises on the development of reporting on operational risk management for the business line CRO on the management and mitigation of operational risks that may arise from the inadequate or failed internal processes, people, systems or external events;
Assess emerging risks based on risk tools and business reporting;
Evaluate effectiveness of risk indicators;
Ensure that significant events have been well evaluated, and have action plans for implementing robust controls;
Evaluate new products or services, as well as significant changes in processes, to ensure proper assessment of the risks involved and the creation of appropriate controls;
Risk matrix assessment and monitoring of outstanding actions, with the objective of monitoring the evolution of residual risks;
Generate reports to committees and senior management about operational risks;
Supervise the proper functioning of the Risk Management Structure;
Ensure Risk Structure adequacy to Central Bank rules and Corporate Policies.
**Requirements**:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or Statistics;
Advanced Knowledge of Excel (macro and VBA);
Advanced English (will be evaluated);
Risk management experience.
**Desirable**:
Previous experience with the financial market / investment funds;
Risk Management Specialization;
**Knowledge in risks such as**: Credit, Liquidity, Market and Social and Environmental.
