The RTAP and Seed Planning Scientist plays a key role in supporting the research and development of corn and sorghum by managing demand planning, inventory, seed scheduling, and order processes.
This role collaborates closely with global and regional teams to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of seed materials.
Additionally, the Scientist supports advancement activities by coordinating testing pipelines and ensuring data integrity for product development.Key Responsibilities:Demand Planning & Seed Scheduling:Lead demand planning for seed acquisition, scheduling, and staging, ensuring alignment with internal and external customer specifications.
Coordinate with Supply Chain and Research teams to source seed material, manage experimental packaging plans, and oversee production planning at nursery locations.
Ensure efficient warehouse operations, regulatory compliance, and adherence to timelines.Inventory Management:Oversee seed inventory management and reconciliation, ensuring logistical accuracy and compliance.
Evaluate inventory and select seed lots that meet or exceed quality standards; resolve any quality concerns with stakeholders.
Monitor and report key performance indicators related to inventory and seed movement, while upholding data integrity.Order Processing & Quality Control:Analyze order specifications to ensure regulatory and intellectual property compliance; facilitate timely sourcing and delivery.
Coordinate testing, monitor seed quality, and conduct continuous improvement initiatives to enhance seed performance.
Maintain accurate records for seed quality traits and ensure compliance with internal data stewardship practices.Advancement & Experiment Management:Work with regional leads to create and manage experiments, support product advancement, and maintain accurate experiment data.
Update Rstage classifications for new products, align product agendas for regional meetings, and adhere to business rules.
Facilitate end-to-end (E2E) reviews for hybrid testing and pre-commercial production status, ensuring alignment with producibility standards.Data Integrity & Reporting:Support data accuracy for research advancement processes, update trait information as needed, and conduct bi-annual reviews for system compliance.
Serve as a point of contact for inquiries related to registration, certification, and product-specific details across crops and geographies.
Contribute to the development and implementation of business rules and stewardship standards for product integrity.
Engage in the Company Security Program, meeting legal requirements and internal company policies and motivating colleagues in this direction.
Ensure that Corteva values of Enrich Lives, Stand tall, Build Together, and Be upstanding are applied in the context of leadership.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Business, Business Administration, Plant Sciences, or a related field.3-5 years of experience in demand planning, inventory management, and seed logistics within an agricultural or research setting.Knowledge of compliance regulations, seed quality assessment, research inventory systems, and data management tools (SQL, Access, Excel, Power BI).Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment.Familiarity with research trial and observation processes and seed production techniques.Preferred certifications: CPIM, Six Sigma, Lean, or Business Analytics.Advanced English.Availability for eventual travel.#J-18808-Ljbffr
