The Latin America SHE Safety, Health and Environment Director has overall
responsibility for managing Personal and Process Safety, Construction Safety,
Health, Industrial Hygiene & Environmental improvement activities to achieve
excellence at all sites in the geography.
These sites include all factories,
office buildings, virtual offices, R&D centers, distribution centers, field sales
and merchandizers.
S/he is responsible for all Confidential employees, contractors and
third-party suppliers across the end-to-end supply chain including all
decentralized businesses.
The Latin America Director works across the matrixed
organization to deliver SHE technology, tools, and work processes to help clients
across the businesses, functions and geographies excel in SHE performance.
S/he
also has responsibility for overseeing legal SHE compliance of all sites in the
geography.

Success is determined by a strong SHE culture in the geography.
Main Purpose of the Job
Participates in the SHE Empresa importante Leadership Team to drive SHE culture and SHE
performance in unity across the globe.
Sets a Latin America SHE Implementation
Plan to deliver against the Business Units, the country and the SHE Empresa importante
Strategies o Sets goals and plans to meet geographic, business and SHE commitments
- Manages the SHE teams responsible to deliver results o Maintains a strong
network to manage risk of upcoming changes and builds plans into existing
priorities particularly in new capital projects, new business acquisitions and
divestitures
Local Governance to drive strong SHE culture o Leads the culture change process
for SHE in the geography.
Designs and operates a Latin American governance process in alignment with Empresa importante
requirements to track performance against all SHE targets.
Works across the matrix
organization to ensure progress meets Confidential expectations.
Leads the local auditing program ensuring simplification to the client
Ensures Empresa importante governance tools like PAR, SPR, UMA, SHEnet, MOC, Power BI and
others represent needs locally and globally.
Maintains local governance tools as
necessary.
Oversees the legal SHE compliance of all sites to ensure they meet all
local/national regulatory requirements and Confidential standards.
Works with Legal
and Regulatory Affairs to implement new legal requirements.
Manages change to balance risk by implementing appropriate controls DocuSign
Maintains local documented standards, policies, and practices to ensure SHE
compliance with regulatory and Confidential expectations.
Supports Empresa importante reporting with data and verbiage for internal and external Confidential>reports for SHE technologies ensuring accuracy and brandprotection.
Develops
local reporting with trend analysis from incidents, near misses and safe behaviour
observations
Translates Empresa importante standards into local language and maintains SharePoint for
policies and practices.
Capability Building programs
Ensures Latin American SHE employees participate in the Empresa importante community of
practice of SHE professionals to ensure sharing of best practice and effective
communication
Oversees professional SHE skills within SHE and across client base by determining
training needs and assisting in delivery of training programs o Maintains local
expertise in specific SHE technologies like machine safety, mechanized material
handling equipment safety MMHE, safe driving, office safety, safe travel,
ergonomics, industrial hygiene, emergency planning and response, security, process
safety, water, air and waste compliance requirements and others.
Participates in
Emergency Planning and Response o Advises line management in all accident/incident
investigations o Assists the Incident Management Teams in leading and developing
the internal incident management committees; support site leaders in the
country/business in serious incident investigation and analysis o Leads critical
root cause investigations for complex incidents Integrates Newly Acquired
Businesses and Decentralized Businesses Operates within the boundaries of SHE
business expectations in cost, capital, and headcount
Experience required
Experience in Business Operations
Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management
University degree in Engineering.
Technology experience in engineering, modelling,
data analysis, manufacturing chemistries, environmental operations, environmental
impact on the planet, andsho w those technologies across Confidential impact risk is
beneficial.
Knowledge of human behavior and work process associated with unplanned event
management.
Excellent knowledge of Confidential SHE standards.
Working knowledge using all SHE IT
tools andsho w those tools integrate into other functional work processes.
Influencing skills and international business/cultural sensitivity.
Good observation and auditing skills
Ability to influence strategic deliverables in a widely matrixed organization
Ability to manage multiple requests and priorities simultaneously
Extended knowledge in Business Operation preferred
