An ambitious research and development strategy has put Nommon at the forefront of innovation in the mobility analytics market.
As part of our growth strategy, we are looking for a senior sales and business development engineer to execute our expansion plans in Brazil and other countries of the LATAM region.
You will work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial start-up environment, along with a talented, international, multidisciplinary team.
After an initial training period in our Madrid office, the candidate will be based in Brazil.
Reporting to the Business Development Director, responsibilities include:
Develop and execute our business development and growth plan for Brazil and other countries in the LATAM region.
Establish market strategies and strategic partnerships to expand business.
Identify target clients.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, from pre-sales through post-sales activities.
Lead the preparation of tenders.
Prepare purchase orders and sales contracts.
Support project execution and client liaison in Nommon's projects in Brazil and other countries in the LATAM region
Monitor client status and sales opportunities, including calls for tenders.
Monitor market trends and client expectations and contribute to the definition of innovative products, services, and business models.
Arrange and conduct meetings and events with clients, including product demonstrations and commercial presentations.
Attend relevant conferences, fairs and other academic and industrial events.
Qualifications and skills
Required:
MSc in a relevant engineering field, preferably with a background in Transport Engineering.
3+ years of experience in selling complex technology or consulting projects.
Experience/knowledge in transport planning and modelling.
Familiarity with the transport policy environment and proven ability to identify and engage with key stakeholders in the transport industry.
Experience in creating new business opportunities and translating them into complete and compelling technical and financial proposals.
Ability to present to senior executive management and large audiences.
Ability to educate clients and advise them on how to best use our solutions.
Self-motivation, proactivity, and ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel across the LATAM region as needed to achieve objectives.
Willingness to stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings and emerging technologies.
Excellent Portuguese, Spanish and English oral and written communication skills.
Nice to have, but not indispensable:
Experience in responding to complex government tenders in the LATAM region.
Experience working with multilateral organisations (e.g., World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank).
Experience in other sectors dealing with geospatial data, such as urban planning, tourism and geomarketing.
