SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Sales Manager position sells products and services using technical, organizational, and customer knowledge to influence customers and apply LHF products and services to their needs, resulting in revenue generation for the Company. In addition, the position participates and has input into the marketing, market planning, and technical development of products as appropriate. This position reports to the General Manager of Sales.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Makes and maintains sales contacts; researches customer needs and develops application of products and services.
Develops and delivers sales calls and/or presentations and closes sales deals, whether personally or via various telecommunication methods.
Organizes the receipt of customer RFQs to establish product and service cost estimates and subsequent sales quotations.
Participates in sales forecasting and planning.
Participates in development of new products, modification of existing products and termination of ineffective products.
Regularly visits production areas and collaborates with technical and operational colleagues.
Manages technical aspects of committees and working groups.
Timely manages assigned sales target areas, customer accounts, opportunities and budgets.
Develops and maintains communications in a cooperative and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers using established guidelines.
Participates in other special projects for the department.
Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Experience:
A 4 year bachelor's degree (BS) or a related engineering degree with ten (10) years of experience in the Roll forging, foundry, heat treatment, etc. and/or machining industries.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS/SCOPE:
Contacts are typically with individuals both internally and externally of the organization and involve obtaining and/or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation. There is no responsibility for this position to supervise others but will provide varying levels of oversight both within Sales and cross-functionally.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
The work environment is primarily an office setting with some industrial manufacturing exposure to include high temperatures and moderate noise levels. Proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be required during certain operations.
ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS:
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week), Overtime as required to accomplish assignments.
TRAVEL:
This position requires up to 75% travel. Frequently travel is outside the local area and overnight. Some of the travel may be international.
