MAKE IT#1 Group wide digital transformation is reshaping Imerys Digital landscape, encompassing 5 pillars: Common language and processes A global SAP Core Model, S4/Hana based, named OPERA (target +7000 users in +30 countries) A common collaboration platform (GNOC, GSOC, unified WAN) A common unified IT organization. MAKE IT #1 aims at implementing common IT Tools for our business. In order to enable seamless development and roll out of these new tools, Imerys IT is also evolving from a division centric IT organization to a more integrated structure with a strong regional IT platform. Group IT Application implements and enforces standards and policies as defined by the Group. Group IT Application designs, builds and deploys Business Area solutions and applications. This position is part of the Opera Services organization. The Business Solution Architect responsibility is to ensure the success of the OPERA SAP Core Model project by providing a functional and technical drive to solution components during and after the SAP Core Model rollouts across Imerys Business Areas. The Business Solution Architect's prime responsibility is to direct solution design and build, maintain a high level of IT expertise and manage the resulting maintenance and evolution cycles for SAP Core Model. The Business Solution Architect is in charge of managing the solution definition and maintenance on his/her domain. JOB SCOPE/DIMENSIONS: Human dimension: The role reports directly to the Financial Business Solutions Manager Key interfaces, stakeholders and relationships: IT Competency Centers, Business Solution Architects, Rollout teams, Business Process Owners, Group Master Data & Process director, Functional Heads and Direct reports, Process experts, External providers (e.g. Consulting companies, Software editors, Technology & Tools for Automation…). KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The main missions of the Business Solution Architect are to: SAP Core Model Design and Build: Follow the SAP Core Model methodology from legal entity assessment to user acceptance testing This includes the responsibility of application activities related to business requirements, analysis, solution design leading configuration (for CR and liaising with Opera Factory) and development (liaising with Dev. Factory), testing, documentation, training and acceptance Work closely with his/her counterpart in the IT consulting companies SAP Core Model Rollout and Improvement: Ensure close relationship with SAP Core Model & Wave teams for deployments across Imerys Business Areas to ensure knowledge transfer and standard compliance with OPERA rollout methodology Ensure that Change Requests are properly understood and approved by Business Process Owners before any configuration and/or development Ensure that the Business Requirements are effectively addressed through maximal and optimal standard configuration Promote the SAP Core Model Methodology across IT organization Key to the success of this role is the on-going link and close cooperation with key SAP Core Model players like IT Application streams, Business Process Owners, IT Competency Centers and other Stakeholders involved in the design, rollout and life of SAP Core Model. JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Level of education/qualifications normally required: Master degree in Information System, Master in Management degree Specific work experience: 5+ years of experience in SAP implementation for Controlling and Finance. At least a first S/4 Hana implementation experience is required. Experience in a team geographically dispersed (multicultural management experience) Solution: The purpose of the job is to ensure that the business requirements are effectively addressed with the chosen solution through maximal and optimal standard configuration or development Internal customer satisfaction: Ensure the quality and timeliness of deliveries and guarantee the global consistency of the ERP Core Model Functional and technical skills: Strong business and functional knowledge of Finance & Controlling with emphasis in Industrial Controlling and integration with other processes such as Sales, Purchasing, Production. Have a strong expertise in SAP implementation. An understanding of interface design to external systems would be beneficial. Have a good knowledge and understanding of application architecture. Be familiar with Fiori applications and S/4 Hana functionalities of version 2020 and above Ability to lead specific studies / assignments with internal and/or external resources and functions. Skills (setup and utilization) on SAP related to Industrial Controlling: Define related master data (e.g. Material Master Accounting/Costing data) and good understanding of Manufacturing Master data (e.g. Bill Of Materials, Resources) Knowledge of migration tools of SAP such as LSMW and LTMC Configuration in FI and CO modules as regards to Product costing as well as Material Ledger Opera Rollouts: - Promote Core Model processes and functionality to the Waves - Follow and assist waves on Opera rollouts - Participe to Rollout Assessment and Discovery Workshops - Demonstrate the Core Model to the waves - Analyze Change Requests and be part of the decision to accept or reject Change Requests - Guide the Waves on the Rollout phases - Follow up new change requests in the Core Model stream and follow up the waves on the test and validation - Transfer the knowledge of new change requests to Opera Assistance (L2) and L3 Support Team Behavioral competencies: Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels along the transformation journey High willingness to be part of group transformation and standardization Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure Self-motivated with the ability to work independently Strong cultural integration skills Ability to listen and learn from his/her team as well as from peers of Group or Business Areas but also to change the current ways of operating Strong influencing skills to develop an effective regional/country network and promote effective transfer of good practices. Linguistic skills: English (Advanced), fluency in Spanish is desirable.
