SCADA and Historian Systems Engineer Location: Remote in Brazil (30% Travel Required) Duration: Contract/Full-time Salary plus Benefits What You Will Do: The Staff SCADA and Historian Systems Engineer is responsible for leading the standardization of Kenvue's global SCADA systems, ensuring solutions are designed to be efficient, reliable, and in line with company standards. This role supports the TechOps execution teams in implementing SCADA systems, while ensuring that both SCADA and Historian platforms meet the highest standards of functionality, performance, and compliance. In close collaboration with the implementation teams, you will drive the creation and update of support documentation to facilitate the deployment of SCADA and Historian systems across the global sites. Additionally, you will serve as the primary contact for ensuring the acceptability, adequacy, and effectiveness of the SCADA solutions implemented. Key Responsibilities Develop and execute a global SCADA standardization strategy that aligns with organizational goals, ensuring standardized, efficient, and reliable SCADA systems across Kenvue's 27 sites. Lead and provide technical guidance to implementation teams , ensuring the successful deployment and support of SCADA and Historian systems. Act as a primary contact for troubleshooting and ongoing system enhancements. Collaborate with the OT Global Cybersecurity team to implement robust cybersecurity measures for SCADA systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and proactively addressing vulnerabilities through audits and assessments. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration with local site automation teams , ensuring seamless integration of SCADA systems with other industrial and IT/OT systems. Provide technical support for projects, protocol execution, and shutdown planning. Identify and drive opportunities for process improvement and automation by evaluating and integrating new SCADA tools and technologies, enhancing operational efficiency and productivity. Establish and enforce best practices and development standards for SCADA graphical interfaces and data structures, ensuring consistency and scalability across all sites. Implement robust monitoring and reliability systems for SCADA and Historian platforms, addressing system issues proactively and minimizing downtime. Maintain comprehensive documentation for SCADA and Historian systems, including support procedures and workflows, to ensure efficient knowledge transfer within teams. Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and security protocols , actively participating in internal and external audits to validate system reliability and security. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as IT, engineering, and operations to align SCADA solutions with business needs, translating technical requirements into practical automation solutions. Provide training and mentorship to teammates, engineers, and contractors on SCADA systems, fostering continuous development and ensuring consistency in system usage. Engage with vendors and external partners , including Aveva, to align on implementation strategies and support mechanisms that meet Kenvue's operational goals. Required Qualifications: Minimum of a BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields. Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in SCADA systems development, specifically with Aveva Intouch, System Platform, and Historian. Solid experience in creating development standards for SCADA interfaces. Demonstrated ability to work in a global automation environment and provide remote support. Advanced knowledge of Historian systems, preferably Aveva Historian and OSI-PI. Experience in large-scale industrial automation projects. Experience developing real-time applications with a high level of quality and dependability. Exceptional communication (verbal and written), analytical and problem-solving skills. Proactive and able to work independently in a dynamic, remote environment. Willingness to travel occasionally as needed. Desired Qualifications: Experience in automation within consumer goods or pharmaceutical industries. Familiarity with global automation projects and managing multiple sites.
