We are seeking job applications from motivated technical professionals for our distribution business. The prospective candidate would assist in developing and implementing a sales plan for growing sales in academic and industrial laboratories of the entire Latin America. Essential Duties and Responsibilities You will combine technical knowledge and sales skills to increase product awareness and increase business. Key tasks include the following: Identify new research groups for nanotechnology related products in the company's distribution portfolio. Work closely with the instrument manufacturers, plus business acumen and ability to understand customer needs. Develop and maintain relationships with contacts at current and potential accounts and also follow-up all sales opportunities on a timely basis. Compile market information and intelligence to assist future business growth. Keep up to date all the online and offline data of the companies we promote and represent. Review purchase documents to ensure compliance with technical specifications and commercial terms and conditions. Resolve customer issues/problems. Generate sales proposals and manage CRM for the contacts and opportunity management plus capture and document all pertinent information. Qualification Requirements To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and abilities required. A bachelor degree in the fields of material science, physics, chemistry, or other physical sciences is required. An advanced Master or PhD degree with a research background is preferable, but not at all mandatory. Prior experience (3-5 years min.), in the operation of high technology products in the scientific and laboratory instrumentation sector is highly desired. Alternatively, 5 years' experience in sales of technical instrumentation. Preferences include: Specific, hands-on experience with tools for clean room or fabrication of semiconductor devices, or other nanotechnology tools such as SEM and/or AFM. Sales experience with Industrial R&D Centers, Nanoscience Centers, Universities and National Laboratories Ability to develop and communicate project plans, including the establishment and achievement of targeted goals. Strong verbal and written communication skills. English is mandatory to use on daily-basis; Spanish is desirable.
