For more information Role reports to: R&D Wound Care Leader Location: São José dos Campos/SP What you will do The R&D Scientist is responsible for planning, designing, and developing new products for engineered products particularly class 1 medical device and combination device drug.
You will be designing experiments to solve problems, analyzing the results and recommending solutions that will bring innovation into market.
You will also develop protocols, test methods, operating procedures, and translational models that verify new product's functional performance and validate new products' consumer acceptance.
Key Responsibilities • Design and Develop engineered products/medical device prototypes according to defined consumer user requirements • Plan & implement experiments to evaluate new technologies, materials and products • Conduct experiments to solve technical problems • Analyze and interpret data sets to draw meaningful conclusions • Collaborate with cross-functional technical partners to drive scientific advancements • Define product specifications based on user requirements and design inputs • Lead life cycle management programs for medical devices and apply design control principles in product/material/process changes.
• Develop test methods, technical and translational models that can verify the functional and performance requirements of prototypes • Lead end-to-end product development activities for innovation projects What we are looking for Required Qualifications • University/ Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in a related field of Engineering or Chemistry • Product and process development experience or research experience • Working knowledge in statistical analysis with familiarity in statistical software (e.g., Minitab, etc.)
