Johnson & Johnson Consumer Health is recruiting for a **Scientist Senior** to work in **São José dos Campos.

The Consumer Health R&D Upstream Innovation LATAM team leads the development of Science & Technology solutions to build the regional strategy of J&J Consumer products, Sustainability solutions and Digital experiences.

This team crafts new science, products and claims, co-developing technologies with suppliers, test methods with universities, digital solutions with startups.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Scouting and technical screening of external opportunities with suppliers, external manufacturers, universities and startups.
- Translation of scientific insights, mechanisms of action, into consumer relevant benefits to elevate scientific communications internally and externally.
- Partnering externally and internally to conduct scientific studies, and conducting or directly supervising hands-on laboratory studies.
- Explore internal and external capabilities to develop new methodologies/models for Babycare & scalp health.
- Staying current competitive landscape and state-of-the art scalp research via literature, patent, product, and regulatory intelligence monitoring and collating information to craft the innovation strategy.
- Acquire, analyze, interpret, and organize data systematically, write and document research, reports, and protocols.
**Education**: Bachelor Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, Biomedicine, Biology, Physics, Chemical Engineering (desirable Master or PhD degree).
**Experience and Skills**:**Required**:
- Advanced English is required (spoken and written).
- **Preferred**:
- Knowledge of Babycare ingredients, formulations and formats.
- Knowledge in hair & scalp science and efficacy testing methods (in-vitro and/or in-vivo).
- Strong technical curiosity and passion to spark new projects.
- Strong connection and interpersonal skills.
- Data science and innovation savviness.
