This position will be located in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Reporting to the Vice President, the Security Director, LATAM Region has oversight for several security functions which positively impact the protection of associates, visitors, facilities, and assets.
This regional role is both strategic and operational.
The Director LATAM Region's responsibilities include:

- Develops security strategies throughout the region, implements global security policies and security programs to mitigate risks, responds to incidents, limits exposure to liability, and creates secure working conditions for all employees and contractors, protecting sites and assets
- Develops and implements regional policies and programs in response to financial losses, crimes against persons, sabotage, threats, emergency situations, illegal acts, and the protection of property
- Responsible for investigations impacting the business in the region
- Establishes effective liaison with local/state/federal law enforcement and external security committees/partnerships in support of the Global Security mission
- Contributes to the continuity and growth of the business by providing suitable security services
- Identifies significant security risks and prioritizes them based on the probability of occurrence; Designs and recommends strategies and security programs to mitigate risks by implementing cost-based efficient security measures in the region
- Liaises with business leadership: Legal, HR, IT, Quality, Facilities, and other functional areas in the development and deployment of standardized strategies, policies, procedures, best practices, and security programs across the region
- Partners with E&PS to assess, evaluate and ensure physical site security meets the Global Security Minimum Security Standards (MSS)
- Produces and conducts annual/semi-annual security threat/risk briefings for the regional business and functional area leadership including establishing appropriate key performance indicators (KPI) in furtherance of the in-region security program performance
- Develops and maintains a security culture among associates by promoting situational awareness and sharing information related to security conditions and trends in the region
- Supports the regional Crisis Management Team by coordinating training for managing crises (BCP, table-top exercises, etc.)
and communications across regional affiliates during actual events
- Identifies "Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats" within the region, that facilitate the development and implementation of security programs that support risk mitigation

**Qualifications** Required Competencies**:

- A minimum of a bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate security management or 10 years of experience in law enforcement
- People leadership skills including remote team management
- Demonstrated organization skills and sound judgment
- Must be result-objectives-goal oriented, a cost-benefit analyst, decision maker, strategic planner, and tactical executive
- Experience in the effective management of security budgets
- The ability to brief at all levels of the company and communicate openly and candidly across Business Units and operating companies
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills, including strong listening skills
- Able to prioritize, plan, execute and multitask work programs on your own initiative with a developed sense of self-knowledge, knowing your own limitations, and able to judge when it is necessary to consult/inform/involve others, often in s
