You will have the opportunity to lead exciting problems, publish and patent your work in one of the most high impact, innovative and unconventional applications of science in the People Experience and Technology space.If this kind of work excites you, reach out to us to find out more!Key job responsibilitiesProvide scientific thought leadership in GenAI solution development for our science and engineering teamsPrototype and iterate on GenAI solutions for capabilities across writing feedback, summarization, information retrieval, content generation and orchestration.Participate in scoping feature and business planning roadmap of GTMC's science investmentsDesign and execute science-based product ideas and features, project plans and communicate with stakeholdersPartner with engineers to productionize GenAI and other science models at the scale of AmazonMentor and guide junior scientists and engineers, and contribute to the overall growth and development of the teamBASIC QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experiencePhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experienceExperience with neural deep learning methods and machine learningExperience programming in Java, C++, Python or related languageExperience with developing Generative AI solutions for business applicationsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPhD in engineering, technology, computer science, machine learning, robotics, operations research, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative field5+ years of applied research experienceExperience with modeling tools such as R, scikit-learn, Spark MLLib, MxNet, Tensorflow, numpy, scipy etc.Experience with popular deep learning frameworks such as MxNet and Tensor Flow.Strong publication record in top-tier journals and conferences in Generative AI, and/or demonstrated experience with customizing Large Language Models for business applicationsAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $150,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,000/year in our highest geographic market.
