We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis, with the potential to transition to full-time in the coming months. Role Overview: As a Senior Azure SRE at SPI Software, you will play a leadership role in managing and enhancing our Azure cloud environment on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). You will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of our software solutions while guiding the team in adopting best practices. Key Responsibilities: Lead the management and optimization of SPI's Azure cloud infrastructure to ensure top-tier performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Oversee the monitoring and resolution of incidents, maintaining high availability and reliability of services. Architect and implement advanced scaling strategies to support growing client demands. Drive the development and maintenance of automation for infrastructure provisioning, monitoring, and alerting. Lead root cause analysis of complex incidents, implementing preventive measures and mentoring junior team members. Collaborate with development teams to design and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure systems. Enhance and oversee the DevOps platform on Azure, focusing on automation, CI/CD pipelines, and advanced tooling. Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or ARM templates, ensuring consistency and repeatability across environments. Guide and mentor the team in managing and supporting employee devices, ensuring adherence to company standards. Implement and enforce advanced security policies, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and regulations. Apply security best practices in identity and access management, network security, and data encryption across all systems. Ensure continuous compliance with industry regulations and standards, particularly within the vacation ownership and resort industry. Stay at the forefront of Azure and DevOps advancements, driving the adoption of new technologies and practices within the team. Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize, automate, and innovate cloud, DevOps, and IT support processes. Qualifications: Extensive experience as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) or DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on Azure cloud environments. Deep expertise in core Azure services such as virtual networks, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure SQL, and other key components. Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Terraform or ARM templates. Advanced experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, repositories, and build/release management. Expert-level scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash). Strong familiarity with monitoring and observability tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, or Prometheus. Proven experience in managing and troubleshooting laptops and devices in a corporate setting. In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices and compliance requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and strategic approach to system and device management. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and mentor a remote team. Preferred Qualifications: Significant experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. Familiarity with additional cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud) is a plus. Relevant Azure certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) are highly desirable. Prior leadership experience in a similar role, guiding teams in DevOps and cloud infrastructure. Compensation: $20 - $30 USD per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
