Job Description Hybrid: Work physically at General Motors 3 times per week (TUE-THU)What You'll Do (Responsibilities)Develop and execute a robust commodity strategy based on market and techResponsible for maintaining sourcing pipeline and Business Over Time, benchmarking data, strategy presentations, global budget and on-time metricsLead key meetings with cross-functional teams (engineering, supplier quality, supply chain, finance)Build business plans to meet business priorities.Work with global counterparts to improve and align the global strategy for future programsAdhere to corporate and unit purchasing and accounting practices and proceduresUtilize the Global Purchasing and Supply Chain sourcing process to run sourcing packages (RFQ, Quote Analysis and Source Selection)Analyze and apply appropriate tools, i.e., benchmarking, global competitive sourcing, value chain analysis, supplier negotiations, engineering change cost containment, technical cost reduction, part/system reuse, etcYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)Bachelors degreeFluent EnglishSolid experienceAbility to work effectively cross functionally, both internally and externally and build relationshipsExperience managing commercial issues with suppliers and assessing supplier performanceDemonstrated competence in negotiating skillsExceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsHigh level of analytical ability where problems can be extremely complexDeveloped organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlinesNegotiationCommunicationAnalytical ThinkingWorkload ManagementRelationship ManagementSupplier ManagementData Judgment
