Following the success of the Tocantinzinho Mine project, the company is opening a new office in the country, which will allow it to work closely with local talent for future projects both within Brazil and abroad.G Mining Services is a family company that values its workforce by promoting professional and individual development with unique career opportunities, encouraging collaboration, and offering a variety of stimulating challenges, all within a warm, welcoming, safe, and inclusive work environment.To pursue its development, G Mining is looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to fill the position of:Senior Civil-Structural EngineerSummary of responsibilitiesDesign and prepare calculation notes for concrete structures in heavy industry buildings.Design and prepare calculation notes for steel structures in heavy industry buildings.Review and assist in preparing engineering drawings, design specifications, standard documents, and engineering reports.Follow up with steel fabricator and review shop drawings.Check 2D drawings and 3D models for clashes and constructability with other disciplines.Support junior resources in carrying out the various phases of studies, and basic and detailed engineering.Participate in preparing estimates, bills of quantities, schedules, and budgets.Ensure plans meet guidelines, building code requirements and other national and international standards and regulations.Prepare and follow up on the progress of construction schedules.Prepare cost and time estimates.Participate in the development of the schedule, ensure compliance with contractual schedules, and develop corrective measures and plans if necessary.RequirementsBachelor's degree in civil engineering with specialization in structural design.Experienced in designing concrete and steel structures for heavy industry.Experience in the mining sector and international work are important assets.Member in good standing of the Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia (CREA).Knowledge of SAP2000 or ADA (Advance Design America) and Revit softwares.English (conversation, writing and comprehension).Spanish is an asset.Proficiency with Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).AbilitiesGood analytical, synthesis, problem-solving and communication skills.Ability to work as part of a team in a multicultural environment.Good organizational skills.Autonomy and initiative.Excellent adaptability.Additional informationThe position will be based at the G Mining Services office in Belo Horizonte.Possibility of traveling abroad and in Brazil depending on the availability of the candidate.Benefits of being part of our teamG Mining cares strongly about the well-being of its employees so that they can thrive in all areas of their lives.
