At such an exciting time, key talent is critical, and this role is a great opportunity to be part of our next chapter.Role purpose:LRQA is seeking a Senior Consultant with experience in ESG and consulting to join our Advisory team in São Paulo and accelerate the development and growth of our strategic ESG due diligence, risk management, and special investigation work.We are looking for a highly motivated, passionate professional to join our team and support clients to address their most pressing sustainability and supply chain challenges.
This role will require an investigative and curious mindset and an individual who can approach social and environmental due diligence and risk management from a strategic, problem-solving angle.We are looking for individuals who can critically assess situations to identify risks and challenges for our clients as well as develop innovative solutions.
This role will be client-facing and require direct engagement with clients' Sustainability/ESG, Social Compliance, or Procurement teams.You will work with private-sector clients, many of which are major global and regional companies, spanning a variety of sectors, including consumer goods, retail, food/agriculture, real estate, and finance.
You will be part of the Latin America Advisory team and will work with, and learn from, LRQA experts from teams across the globe.We are looking for entrepreneurial individuals who will be motivated by the opportunity to work in a rapidly growing and successful business at the cutting edge of sustainability and to partner with world-class leaders to take on some of the planet's most pressing ESG challenges.Key Responsibilities:Project Leadership (55%)Serve as both project and business development lead for major client relationships; establish yourself as a key client thought partner and point of contact.Lead project teams to develop high-quality analysis and product outputs for clients, in our Advisory practices, specifically for our Responsible Sourcing, Human Rights Due Diligence.
This includes close alignment with our EiQ platform and data.Plan and manage projects in a way that accounts for and ensures profitability.Take accountability for timely and high-quality service delivery, project staffing, efficient work plans and client management, taking corrective action as needed.Manage associates and/or consultants, setting clear expectations for team members and providing timely feedback.Build a positive team environment; should be viewed internally as a team leader.Business Development (30%)Actively contribute to business development efforts, including expanding existing client relationships and generating opportunities with new clients.Lead and/or actively participate in all parts of the business development process: end-to-end proposal writing, presentations, budget preparation, and communication/negotiation with clients and potential clients.Product Development / Knowledge Management (15%)Participate in product development and refinement and play an active role in knowledge management efforts.Develop thought leadership at the organizational level, including by writing posts, newsletters, and technical articles.OtherRole model LRQA behaviours to drive a customer-centric, performance-oriented, commercially accountable organizational culture.Pursue Continuous Professional Development and maintain a high degree of discipline, industry knowledge, and awareness.Support the regional Advisory team to manage, mentor and support team consultants and associates.Contribute to the implementation of a strategy aligned with the overall regional and Advisory vision to deliver against actionable goals, sales, and revenue targets.Key health & safety responsibilities:Eliminate or minimize employee exposure to risks by regularly reviewing the health and safety risk register, applying appropriate controls, and ensuring compliance with health and safety rules.Number of direct reportsTBDGeographic area of impact(LATAM)Key stakeholdersAdvisory Leadership Regional TeamTechnical / Professional Qualifications / Requirements:5-7+ years of proven experience in responsible sourcing, social and environmental due diligence, or sustainability strategy required.A master's degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field preferred.Proven track record of selling and supporting client accounts.Exceptional organization and attention to detail.Strong commercial acumen with recent examples of developing successful value propositions.Demonstrable client-facing sales experience.Ability to communicate fluently in English; Spanish fluency is a plus.Expertise in ratings, standards, and regulatory frameworks.Experience in preparing and delivering proposal presentations.Knowledge of standard IT programmes, including Salesforce.Capacity to work across different time zones.Our Values:Expertise: We value our experience and continually seek ways to learn and improve.Integrity: We do what's right and measure our actions against rigorous criteria.Ambition: We combine technology and innovation with expertise to help our clients succeed.Vision: We prepare clients for future success through our understanding of changes in the industry.Togetherness: We respect the unique skills of our people and believe in collaboration.
