Our Digital Marketing Data and Analytics team is looking for a Senior Data Scientist to support us in building, testing, and deploying AI (Artificial Intelligence) models, according to best practices. We are looking for someone passionate about data, curious and resourceful to support our Marketing teams. Your sense of initiative and innovation, as well as your concern for providing a good customer experience will lead you to develop predictive models and decision support tools to improve the BRP customer's experience. In addition to having an overview of Marketing data, you will use all Web and Media data and work with the technical experts responsible for their management.

**YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO**:
Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions;
Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques and business strategies;
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques;
Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, ad targeting and other business outcomes;
Develop company A/B testing framework and test model quality;
Develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy;
Coordinate data integration activities with technical experts;
Ensure data quality and investigate anomalies;
Collaborate with the data steward and technical experts to ensure proper data management;
Write any documentation relating to the tasks performed;
Support the immediate team in all other analysis tasks or projects.
YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
At least 7 years of relevant experience in a similar role;
Proven experience in manipulating data sets and building statistical models;
Master or PhD degree in a relevant field (Computer science, marketing, statistics, Mathematics);
Strong problem solving skills with an emphasis on product development;
Experience querying databases and using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets;
Experience working with and creating data architectures;
Previous experience working on building MMM (Marketing Mix Modeling) and CLV (Customer Lifetime Value) models;
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks;
A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques;
**Being familiar with the following software/tools**:
**Coding knowledge and experience with several languages**: C, C++, Java, JavaScript, etc.
Knowledge and experience in statistical and data mining techniques: GLM/Regression, Random Forest, Boosting, Trees, text mining, social network analysis, etc.
**Experience using web services**: Redshift, S3, Spark, DigitalOcean, etc.
Experience creating and using advanced machine learning algorithms and statistics: regression, simulation, scenario analysis, modeling, clustering, decision trees, neural networks, etc.
**Experience analyzing data from 3rd party providers**: Google Analytics, Site Catalyst, Coremetrics, Adwords, Crimson Hexagon,
**Experience with distributed data/computing tools**: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.
**Experience visualizing/presenting data for stakeholders using**: Periscope, Business Objects, D3, etc.
Knowledge of PowerBI or other visualization software (Tableau, Looker) is an asset;
Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum, Kanban);
Knowledge of JIRA and Confluence tools;
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across teams;
Highly motivated to work in an open team environment, demonstrating a collaborative approach, continuous improvement and innovation;
Bilingual (French and English).
