Senior Data Scientist
Responsible for working with and understanding the various elements of data both internal and external to the organization and its clients. Explores the usage pattern and helps with profiling the data from sources. Assists in mapping to a conforming model, works with business groups to help build that model, and eventually is expected to assist in governing the model. Works with product groups to understand existing data, and works towards cleansing and conforming that data. Understands the business logic behind the various HR calculations, and assists in creating new standard calculations for the organization. Finds relationships and analyzes critical factors for use in predictive models. Guides the decisions on which BI objects to build based on the subject area, guides the best practices for data visualization, and helps to dictate the standards for the delivery of information. Data Scientists are expected to be results-oriented, have knowledge of new and legacy technologies, have knowledge of the relevant platforms and environments, and be familiar with business processes, functions, and data within their domain to provide innovative, insightful, and secure solutions.
This position requires knowledge and experience in own discipline; still acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills. Builds knowledge of the company, processes, and customers. Solves a range of straightforward problems. Analyzes possible solutions using standard procedures. Receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Requirements
Education: Desired BA/BS degree - or equivalent in education and experience.
