We're always improving on the tools and technology that empower content developers worldwide.What You'll DoWe're looking for a Senior Gameplay Programmer who is passionate about games and well-versed in C++, gameplay systems, and optimization. In this role, you'll utilize your gameplay experience, design sensibilities, and knowledge of the Unreal Engine to push the quality and boundaries of new seasonal gameplay experiences to delight players.In this role, you willWork closely with technical designers building, iterating, optimizing, and bulletproofing new gameplay items and featuresPrototype and iterate on features and be willing to accept and respond to critical feedback while ensuring that strong architectural and algorithmic decisions are madeOptimize and fix bugs in existing gameplay systemsContribute ideas toward Fortnite Battle Royale's continued production and developmentWrite robust, maintainable code to enable and empower other designers and programmersPerform code reviews and mentor other programmersWhat we're looking forAt least 5 years of experience as a gameplay programmer, preferably working on AAA titles or live service gamesA keen analytical mind, with strong problem-solving skillsStrong C++ skills and the ability to code and architect gameplay mechanics and toolsWell-versed in games and the ability to articulate what is strong/weak about the design of existing games (an interest in multiplayer and live services games is preferred)Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsSelf-motivated, strong work ethic, and able to work independentlyCreativity in problem-solving and the ability to think outside of the established solutionsEPIC JOB + EPIC BENEFITS = EPIC LIFEWe pay 100% for benefits for both employees (EEs) and dependents (deps).
