As the Senior HR Generalist/HRBP for MGI Tech Co., Ltd., based in our Brazil office, you will be responsible for providing strategic HR support to our employees across Latin America and Canada. You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with local employment laws, managing complex payroll processes across multiple agencies, and driving HR initiatives that enhance employee engagement and organizational success.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Regional HR Support : Provide comprehensive HR support to employees in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Canada, ensuring compliance with local employment laws and regulations.
Payroll Coordination : Coordinate salary and payroll processes between Global HQ in Shenzhen, a global staffing company, and local employment agencies, ensuring all payroll requests and changes are submitted on time. This includes managing different payroll schedules to ensure employees receive their salaries, benefits, and eligible commissions or bonuses.
Recruitment & Onboarding : Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts for the Latin American and Canadian region, from sourcing and interviewing candidates to onboarding new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
HR Systems Management : Maintain and optimize HR systems ensuring accurate data management and system efficiency.
Employee Relations : Serve as a trusted advisor to employees and managers, addressing employee relations issues, providing guidance on HR policies, and fostering a positive work environment.
Performance Management : Provide ongoing performance management support, including coaching, career development, and disciplinary actions, to ensure alignment with business goals.
Legal Compliance : Stay informed of and ensure compliance with employment laws in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Canada. Manage immigration and employment related issues and provide guidance on legal requirements.
HR Policy & Guidance : Develop, implement, and interpret HR policies across the region, ensuring consistency and alignment with global practices.
Change Management : Support organizational change initiatives, coaching managers through transitions and fostering a high-performance culture.

WHERE YOU WILL WORK
Location : Based in our Sao Paulo office in Brazil, with Americas regional HQ in San Jose, California, and global HQ in Shenzhen, China.
Travel : Occasional travel within Latin America, to the United States, and potentially to China for conferences or company events.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING US
Expertise in HR practices, including payroll coordination, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations.
Strong knowledge of employment laws in Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and Canada, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively.
Experience managing HR systems and ensuring data accuracy and efficiency.
A proven track record of successfully supporting regional HR operations in a multi-country context.
The ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight deadlines.
WHAT YOUR EDUCATION LOOKS LIKE
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5 to 8+ years of experience in a Human Resource-related field, with a strong focus on regional HR support and payroll management.
