**What you'll do**

In this role, you will work with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to analyze, build, test, and support business software, distributed in Software as a Service (SaaS) model.
- Design, develop & delivery of new features as part of agile team.
- Attend and contribute to development processes like planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them to precise technical requirements.
- Conduct unit tests and end-to-end workflow testing of developed software to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Execute with an enterprise cloud mindset to deliver on security, compliance, and infrastructure initiatives with engineering program management.
- Create a detailed work break down structure for assigned work and estimate work effort required for each task.
- Document software designs, risks, work estimates, delivery schedules and test results; and communicate them effectively with stakeholders.
- Engage in design reviews and code reviews to receive feedback on the quality of both design and code.
- Review code written by other developers and provide constructive feedback on code quality.
- Mentor junior developers and lead scrum teams by setting positive examples.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology related field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, etc.) required.
- Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- A high degree of intellectual curiosity and a lack of fear for learning something new. You should be open to learn from others and willing to help mentor and teach.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with technical product managers, architects, and technical leads.
- Knowledge of secure coding practices, compliance, open-source technologies and frameworks.
- Good understanding on Backlog planning.
- Proficiency in
- Web technologies: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- Databases: Microsoft SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
- SQL: DDL, DML, DCL and TCL.
- Test frameworks: Junit and Mockito.
- Secure coding: XSS, CSRF and SQL Injection prevention.
- CI/CD software: Git, Maven, Jira, Bamboo or Jenkins, Nexus or Artifactory.
- Server software: Tomcat or similar
- Operating system: UNIX or LINUX commands.
- Working knowledge of
- Application frameworks: Spring, Hibernate and Jersey.
- Excellent communication in English.

More than 800 customers globally leverage the SAP Fieldglass solution to gain visibility into their external workforces, including contingent labor, services managed through Statements of Work, and independent contractors while optimizing spend, quality, compliance, and efficiency. We're looking for multiple Senior Java Developers to be part of the new SAP Fieldglass Engineering team in Sao Leopoldo, to augment our Engineering teams spread across USA, UK, Israel, India and Australia.
