Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Lead Trader to spearhead our commercial operations in Brazil for ALLOYS. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in the metals and minerals industry, capable of driving growth and optimizing our market presence. He also needs to have extensive knowledge and experience in the Brazilian foundry and steel business. Responsibilities: - Sales and Market Development: Drive sales of alloys to various industries, including small and medium-sized businesses. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships in existing and new markets. - Product Trading: Manage the purchase and sale of products, ensuring optimal pricing and quality. - Market Innovation: Identify and develop new products to meet market demands. - Transaction Management: Oversee and manage the entire transaction process, including customer communication, from start to finish. - Market Monitoring: Stay updated on market trends and opportunities by monitoring commodity markets. - Supplier Development: Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships in existing and new markets. - Internal Coordination: Work closely with logistics, finance, and other internal teams to ensure seamless operations. - Travel: Travel as required to meet clients, suppliers, and attend industry events. Experience and Qualifications: - Experience: Minimum of 12+ years in a similar role with extensive knowledge of ferroalloys and other steel raw materials. He also needs to have extensive knowledge and experience in the Brazilian foundry and steel business. Familiarity with trade practices and regulations, especially in the Brazilian and South American steel industry. - Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, or a related field is preferred. Skills: - Strong analytical and negotiation skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in market analysis and understanding of commodity trends. - Strong organizational and time management abilities. - Fluency in English and Portuguese is compulsory; Spanish is an advantage.
