Role summary As a Senior Magento Back-end Developer , your primary responsibility is to develop high-quality, robust, and scalable backend code for e-commerce platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including design, front-end development, and QA, to ensure that the backend components effectively meet our clients' technical and business requirements. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining GraphQL APIs, ensuring seamless integration with front-end components and enhancing overall system performance. Additionally, you will conduct audits, code reviews, and testing to uphold software quality and ensure that the code adheres to industry standards. To succeed in this role, you should have at least 3-4 years of experience in PHP and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. A solid background in Magento / Adobe Commerce development, with at least 2 years of experience, is essential. Familiarity with GIT version control is also required, while knowledge of Adobe Cloud/Enterprise, PWA, App Builder, and Cloud deployments will be considered a significant advantage. Successful candidates for this position should have excellent English communication skills. They should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities. Responsibilities Collaborate with the development team to understand and refine requirements and technical designs. Develop high-quality, robust, and scalable backend solutions using Magento / Adobe Commerce. Build and maintain GraphQL APIs for seamless integration with front-end components. Conduct audits, code reviews, and testing to ensure software quality and adherence to industry standards. Optimise backend performance for speed, scalability, and reliability. Maintain and update the codebase to incorporate new features and functionalities. Ensure effective version control using GIT and maintain a clean, organised repository. Requirements Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal. Minimum of 4 years of experience in PHP with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles. At least 4 years of experience working with Magento / Adobe Commerce. Proficiency in building and maintaining GraphQL APIs. Familiarity with GIT version control systems. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
