Position SummaryCintra Software & Services is an established database services provider and Oracle Platinum Partner. The company is growing at a fast pace and has a global presence in the US, UK, Romania, Brazil, and India.We are looking to grow our established expert Oracle DBA team, with a database professional who has consulting and production support experience. You will be self-motivated, with a disciplined approach to your work. Ideally, you will speak Portuguese, Spanish, and English for our growing customer base in LATAM. You will bring both technical expertise and an understanding of complex project delivery and support operations.Duties/Responsibilities: You will be a member of a global consulting team, playing a senior role in enterprise database architecture projects, including Oracle database builds, upgrades, migrations, support, performance tuning, and assistance with design. Provide support incident ownership, resolution of database-related issues, maintenance activities, patching, tuning, etc. Review the suitability of applications for GoldenGate replication in on-prem and cloud infrastructure. Deploy GoldenGate solutions in cross-platform migrations and upgrades. Troubleshoot and identify issues peripheral to the database such as network, server, and storage root causes. Deliver within agreed timelines and budgets, managing and completing projects and support activities within customer expectations SLAs, while proactively escalating any issues that cannot be resolved within the established timeframes. Initiate and perform changes on enterprise production systems. Lead database migrations (including Cross Platform Migrations), tuning, operationalization, and support efforts for Oracle database enterprise environments. Perform database maintenance and optimizations tasks such as index usage analysis, index management, statistics, partition management, data compression, etc. Carry out performance tuning and optimization, using monitoring and troubleshooting tools including Oracle Enterprise Manager, RDA, Orachk, etc. Design and implement automation solutions for routine tasks, system reporting, alerts, and notifications using OEM 12c and custom scripts. Necessary Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. 8+ years of Core Oracle DBA experience. 4+ years of Oracle GoldenGate experience. 2+ years of managing Oracle databases in OCI. Previous consulting experience is essential. BS degree in Computing or other related field, or equivalent experience. The candidate should be highly experienced with Oracle Database 12c+, RAC, and Data Guard. Advantageous Knowledge, Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities: Knowledge of Exadata on Cloud and Exadata Cloud at Customer. Knowledge of network components in OCI. Knowledge of Oracle Database Appliance (ODA) and ZFS Storage Appliance. Knowledge of cross-platform replication, e.g., GoldenGate. Knowledge of other cloud platforms, including AWS, Azure, and GCP. Knowledge of other databases, including MS SQL, Postgres, MySQL, MongoDB. Knowledge of Oracle applications, including eBusiness Suite and Flexcube.
