We are seeking a payroll professional to provide expertise to include payroll preparation and processing, completion and tracking of ongoing data audits, and maintenance and set up of employment taxes. The ideal candidate has in-depth payroll experience, ADP reporting, state/local tax knowledge, and possesses a continuous improvement mindset. Responsibilities: Oversee payroll time logs, time corrections, tax adjustments and all other electronic paper or interfaces related to the company's ongoing payroll processes. Ensure payroll is closed accurately by performing all data collection, reconciliation, and application of payroll policies for the area of responsibility. Communicate with all levels of the organization effectively by responding promptly and providing friendly customer service. Document and maintain payroll procedures. Review and continually improve payroll processing with the key objective of simplifying, standardizing and building capacity on the team. Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports on an as-needed basis. Ensure exceptional service and meet all service level requirements for payroll. Address issues and provide resolution when service level requirements are not accomplished. Ensure compliance with existing controls including SOX compliance, internal audit, company policies, payroll procedures, and country, state or city laws. Review and audit all hours, earnings, deductions, manual checks, and special actions before each payroll processing. Provide strong support to our employees by providing answers that are compliant with payroll laws and union agreements. Ensure data integrity in the payroll system and systems that impact payroll. Perform special projects at the request of as necessary. Other duties as assigned. Requirements: Hold a Bachelor's degree (BS or BA) in a relevant field, accompanied by 8–10 years of pertinent professional experience. Demonstrate a robust understanding of payroll processes, particularly in the context of regional payroll. Exhibit a comprehensive working knowledge of payroll, payroll tax, and HR laws and regulations. Display meticulous attention to detail and accuracy, especially in the realm of payroll auditing. Uphold strong ethical standards and demonstrate proficiency in handling confidential data. Possess familiarity with the Kronos time and attendance system. Bring a background of experience with ADP, and familiarity with other vendors, in addition to ADP, is considered advantageous. Cultivate relationships with Region HR, payroll staff, technical teams, other HR teams, and business leaders to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery. Maintain a strong customer service focus and adhere to best practices in customer relationship management. Exhibit excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization. Demonstrate adept escalation skills, including the ability to take ownership, de-escalate situations, identify root causes, and implement risk avoidance improvements. Possess the capability to run and generate reports. Exhibit comfort with technology and showcase excellent Excel skills. Language skills in English and/or Spanish
