To learn more about Convatec, please visit http://www.convatecgroup.com About the job: The Senior People Advisor will support the LATAM market as part of a small agile cohort of HR People Partners and/or People Advisors reporting to the LATAM Senior People Partner, and provide comprehensive support (non-administrative) to all customers and the HRBP for the regional market.
The job holder will be based in São Paulo and will be responsible for the delivery of people programs, culture and engagement that support the business strategy across Convatec.
Duties & Responsibilities: Partner with the HR leaders in the region to understand their business and support talent needs that drive the Convatec people agenda Support and manage activities related to the implementation of Global HR initiatives Effectively deliver and manage HR processes related to Talent Management, Performance Management and Leadership Development for the region Develop trusted relationships with Senior Management, line management and functional team members to proactively support business needs and drive the people agenda for the business Lead and/or support the implementation of changes, including but not limited to workforce planning, organizational design & development, re-organization etc.
Work closely with Legal on employee relations issues and ensure compliance with local labour regulations Facilitate annual calibration processes (performance, potential, merit) for CELT2+ and beyond, coaching line managers, as required Conduct F2F exit interviews for specific grades, as required Own local employment policies in collaboration with the Shared Services team Participate in talent hiring activities, as required Lead Works Councils meets, as required Actively monitor performance management and employee relations issues across the region, recommend training and/or performance improvement plans and/or disciplinary action.
Act as 'Appeals' lead in respect of grievance and/or disciplinary hearings Review and maintain country-specific people policies and make recommendations for changes as necessary Qualifications/Experience: A solid working knowledge of employment legislation across the LATAM market Works council experience within relevant countries Fluent in other languages relevant to the specific country cluster is a distinct advantage (Portuguese & English required; Spanish is a plus) Ability to manage multiple projects, often with conflicting demands/timelines Execution-oriented with strong project management, problem-solving, analytical and communication skills Critical thinking skills balanced with strong emotional intelligence Ability to embrace a global approach while taking a practical yet creative approach towards local delivery Demonstrate confidence and courage to appropriately challenge assumptions, and ability to successfully manage competing priorities Maintains a high level of professionalism to push through on solutions while maintaining relationships at all organizational levels Strong learning orientation and work ethic – curious and continuous learner with a good say/do ratio and high integrity Our products make a big difference every day.
