How you will make an impact
Engage in storyboarding and solution design sessions, offering valuable analysis and feedback on artifacts produced throughout the development lifecycle.
Establish and curate a comprehensive library of test plans and scenarios, ensuring alignment with project requirements and maintaining traceability throughout.
Develop and maintain automated regression and performance test scripts, contributing to the efficiency and reliability of testing processes.
Conduct thorough quality assurance testing, both manually and through automation, to verify that developed functionality meets requirements and adheres to specifications.
Methodically track and document test execution results, interpreting findings, identifying trends, and communicating test status to relevant stakeholders.
Proactively identify challenges encountered during development and testing phases, collaborating closely with the development team to research and address issues effectively.
What we look for
Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, systems analysis and development, automation, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for success in software quality engineering.
4+ years of hands-on experience as a test engineer in an agile environment, demonstrating proficiency in testing methodologies and practices within dynamic development cycles.
2+ years of programming experience in roles such as software engineer, software automation engineer, technical quality engineer, or similar, with a focus on Java for automation.
Comprehensive understanding of the functional aspects of web and RESTful applications, including familiarity with browser cookies, URLs, and HTTP methods.
Proficiency in basic SQL to extract and validate data from databases, enabling effective testing of data-driven applications.
Hands-on experience with a variety of test tools, frameworks, and platforms, including but not limited to Selenium, Cypress, Postman, Insomnia, and Swagger.
Familiarity with continuous integration (CI) tools such as Jenkins, bug tracking tools like JIRA, git-based source control systems (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket), popular IDEs (e.g., IntelliJ, Eclipse, VSCode), and test case management tools (e.g., QTP, TestRail, Allure).
Strong interest in transitioning to DevOps practices is considered a bonus, demonstrating a proactive attitude towards adopting emerging technologies and methodologies.
