This role requires excellent market knowledge, client relationship management skills, and the ability to negotiate complex deals.Key Responsibilities:Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscapes in the shipping industry.Client Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including ship owners, charterers, and operators, ensuring their needs are met with tailored solutions.Negotiation: Lead negotiations for charter parties, sale and purchase agreements, and other contractual arrangements, ensuring favorable terms for all parties involved.Deal Execution: Oversee the entire transaction process from initiation to completion, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.Networking: Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to build and expand your professional network and promote the company's services.Team Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior brokers, sharing knowledge and best practices to enhance overall team performance.Reporting: Prepare regular reports on market activity, deal flow, and performance metrics for management.Qualifications:Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in shipbroking or a related maritime industry role.Education: Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business, Economics, or a related field.Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
