Ubi custom-curates Brazilian top 5% talent for their LATAM strategy, offering a unique combo of staff augmentation and employer-of-record services.Ubiminds is assisting a global rating agency established to restore trust in credit ratings and offer accurate and transparent ratings.ChallengeThe Senior Software Engineer will work with the development team, being responsible for financial analytical system, in addition to optimizing and creating end-to-end processes and suggesting new tools, technologies, and methodologies that better work and fit the team.What you'll doWork with Python for well-constructed, intelligently tested, easy-to-use, and extensible packages (Flask), and also scaling out Python compute workloads using Dask.Join an existing team that is building toward the product vision.Get involved in all aspects of design, delivery, and support of the Systems.Work with the entire team to add new product features and enhance existing ones.Collaborate with other engineering, design, product, and platform teams to develop, build, run, and support the system architecture.In order to succeed in this position, you will need:Mandatory skillsAdvanced/fluent English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Hands-on Python development experience: designing, developing, and deploying REST APIs.Worked with UI/UX frameworks (Django/Flask/Dash/ReactJS). Keen to learn newer UI/UX frameworks.Solid understanding of Data Processing, including ETL and ELT data pipelines.Writing CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred).Hands-on experience in designing, developing and deploying R.Nice to haveExperience with front-end development using Typescript, React, or Next.Experience building docker images and deploying RESTful services and container-based applications in Docker swarm/Kubernetes.Maintaining Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.Understanding of Distributed and Event based systems (Queues, Pub/Sub).Familiarity with management of HTTP sessions, Jason Web Tokens (JWT).Familiarity with Apache Airflow and DAG based scheduling.Non-technical skillsGood communication skills.Flexible to deal with different stakeholders.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team.Eager to learn and constantly improve technical skills.About UbimindsOur CulturePeople First.
